Terms of Service

Welcome to SoulCast. By downloading, installing, or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Apple Licensed Application: Your use of the SoulCast app is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), except where these Terms provide additional or clearer rules specific to SoulCast.

1. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age shown for SoulCast in the App Store in your region (for example, at least 13 years old in the United States) and any higher age required by local law. By using the app, you represent that you meet that requirement.

2. Account & User Conduct

• SoulCast is used as an anonymous guest unless you later sign in (if offered). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your guest session or account.
• You agree not to use SoulCast to generate, distribute, or promote content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• You agree not to attempt to circumvent content safety filters, manipulate AI behavior for harmful purposes, or reverse-engineer the app.

3. AI-Generated Content

SoulCast uses artificial intelligence to generate character responses. AI-generated content is fictional and should not be treated as factual, professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, suitability, or safety of AI-generated content.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Auto-renewing subscriptions are offered under the product names SoulCast Pro — Weekly and SoulCast Pro — Annual (as shown in the app). Prices and local currency are displayed in the App Store purchase flow.

• Free Trial: New subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial on the weekly plan where offered. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged.
• Weekly Plan: 1-week subscription, typically USD $7.99/week, billed weekly through Apple.
• Annual Plan: 1-year subscription, typically USD $39.99/year, billed annually through Apple.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
• Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple support.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks in SoulCast are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app without prior written consent.

Characters you create using the Creator tool are your intellectual property, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display them within the SoulCast platform.

6. Content Safety

SoulCast includes automated content filtering to block harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content. Attempting to bypass these filters is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

If you encounter content that violates these Terms, please report it to safety@soulcast.app.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SoulCast is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SoulCast, including but not limited to emotional distress caused by AI-generated content.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your local data (chat history, created characters) will be permanently removed. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
